In Vector, user roles donβt gate what you can do in the platform β they just determine what kind of settings you can manage. No matter your role, youβll still have full access to the good stuff: building segments, checking out the visitor feed, using Ad Reveal (Growth/Enterprise only), and more.
Hereβs how it all breaks down π
The ultimate keyholder.
Can invite new users β
Can assign roles (Owner, Admin, Member) β
Can remove users β
Can promote/demote anyone, including making others an Owner β
Can never be deleted (theyβre the owner β kind of the account anchor)
Has access to:
Organization-level settings
SSO + SAML configs
Org-wide API keys
You can have multiple Owners if you like to share the crown π
Power tools, minus the nuclear codes.
Can invite new users β
Can assign Admin or Member roles β
Can update anyone except the Owner π«
Can remove users β
Has access to org-wide API keys β
No access to SSO/SAML β
Admins can do most of what an Owner can β but they canβt touch the Owner role or settings tied to identity providers.
Look, but donβt touch (much).
Can view the Invite Users page π
Can see whoβs who and what their roles are π
Canβt invite new users or change anyoneβs role β
No access to SSO or API keys β
Perfect for teammates who just need to use Vector, not manage it.

Q:Why canβt I invite someone outside of my own email domain?
By default, Vector only allows users to invite others with the same email domain (e.g., @vector.co). But good newsβthis can be updated! Just contact support@vector.co and weβll update your settings on the backend so you can invite folks from any domain.
Q: Need your role updated or something unlocked?
Just give your friendly Owner or Admin a nudge πββ
