Custom Intent Topics at Vector

Vector can support a wide range of custom intent topics to fit your business needs.

To request a custom topic, just email solutions@vector.co.
You can share your request in a Google Doc or directly in the body of the email — whatever’s easiest for you.

Custom topics are included in some plans and available as a small add-on for others. Not sure if your plan includes them? Just ask — we’re happy to check!

What to Include in Your Request

Please include the following:

1. Topic Name
This should reflect a product, company, capability, or trend — something that can be consistently tracked across content. Think about how it might appear in headlines or articles, not just search queries.

✅ Good examples:

• Salesforce

• Fulfillment Centers

• ICHRA

🚫 Avoid:

• Phrasing like “best,” “top,” "competitors," or “alternatives”

• Broad or vague labels like “Sales” or “Tech Tools”

2. One-Sentence Description
This is the most important part. Start your sentence with the topic name and clearly define what it is. This helps ensure the intent signals match the audience you’re targeting.

✅ Format:

• [Topic name] is a [definition of what it is].

  • EG: ICHRA

• Example: ICHRA is a type of health reimbursement arrangement that allows employers to reimburse employees for individual health insurance premiums and qualified medical expenses.

Pro tip: Try to keep the description focused and specific — this is what drives targeting.

What About Keywords?
Keywords are now optional and do not influence how tracking is applied. If you find them helpful for organizing your request, feel free to include them — but they’re not required and won’t impact performance.

Once Submitted
Once your request is submitted, please allow at least three weeks for processing.
