1. First things first — add the Pixel!

Before anything else, make sure your Vector Pixel is installed on the site you're sending traffic to. This is what powers contact-level tracking and de-anonymization.

✅ Add the Pixel to any ad platform that's relevant to your campaigns.

2. Native vs. Non-Native Ad Platforms

This just means how your contact data is sent from Vector to your ad platform.

💡 You can still run great campaigns on non-native platforms — it just takes one extra step.

Native Integrations:

If you're connected via one of our native ad integrations (Google, Reddit, X), Vector will automagically push your segment data to the platform daily. Even if your audience is still a lil’ guy, we’ll keep sending it along. Heads-up: some platforms (like Google) won’t let you use the audience until it hits their minimum size, but the data will be there waiting once it does.

Important: Make sure to hit that Connect button at the top of your segment. Without it, your audience won’t sync automatically, and you’ll need to go old-school with a CSV export and manual upload.

Non-Native Integrations:

3. Exporting Contact Data

For non-native platforms, you’ll export a CSV from Vector and upload it to your ad platform of choice.

Here’s how easy it is:

  1. Pick how many days of data you want (e.g. last 7, 14, or 30 days).

  2. Hit “Send CSV to my email.”

  3. Upload the file to your ad platform audience manager.

Example: When you export for LinkedIn, the CSV is already formatted exactly how LinkedIn wants it — no edits needed. Just upload and go. 🙌

4. How often should I export?

That depends on how much traffic and volume you’re getting — but here’s a general guide:

🔁 Set a recurring reminder so you’re not flying blind. Fresh lists = better performance.
