Overview

Want to build reports or list views in HubSpot based on Vector segments? You can! But first, you need to make sure that Vector is passing over either the Segment Name or Segment ID to HubSpot using a custom value mapping.

This guide walks you through how to set that up so you can easily filter your HubSpot reports based on Vector segment activity.

Step 1: Set Up Custom Value Mapping in Vector

  1. Go to Integrations in your Vector dashboard.

  2. Click on HubSpot Settings.

  3. Create a new Custom Value Mapping.

  4. Choose to pass over either:

    • Segment ID (e.g., 7264), or

    • Segment Name (e.g., High Intent - ABM Contacts)

πŸ” You can choose whichever value makes sense for your workflow β€” just be consistent!

This mapping allows Vector to send segment-level details to HubSpot so that you can build reports based on it.

Step 2: Build a Report in HubSpot

Once the custom value is mapped:

  1. Open Reports in HubSpot.

  2. Create a Single Object Report (select Contacts).

  3. In the Filters, select the custom field that’s receiving the Segment Name or Segment ID from Vector.

  4. Filter based on:

    • A specific segment (e.g., Segment ID = 7264), or

    • Multiple segments (e.g., Segment Name is any of Intent - HR, Intent - Security)

This lets you segment your HubSpot reports by the exact Vector segment(s) that are relevant to your marketing and sales initiatives.
