You can now connect Vector directly to your outbound marketing and sales systems like Outreach and Salesloft! This lets you track and enrich outbound engagement just like you do with site traffic.

How It Works

For any outbound link you send to a contact (white papers, landing pages, blog posts, etc.), you simply need to append a few query parameters to the URL.

These parameters will pass information back to Vector and enrich the contact when they visit your site.

Required Query Parameters

Parameter

Purpose

v_e

Identifies the contact's email address

v_t_source

Identifies the source platform

v_t_{contactProperty}

Maps additional contact data

Accepted Sources for v_t_source

Optional Contact Properties

Use these to pass additional information:

Example Links

Example 1 – Basic Vector Tracking Only

https://www.acme.co/blog/painting-tunnels-to-fool-birds?v_e=wile@coyote.com&v_t_first_name=Wile&v_t_last_name=Coyote&v_t_source=out

Example 2 – Vector Parameters + UTM Parameters

https://www.acme.co/blog/painting-tunnels-to-fool-birds?utm_source=email_campaign&utm_content=foo&v_e=wile@coyote.com&v_t_first_name=Wile&v_t_last_name=Coyote&v_t_source=out

Both links will allow Vector to recognize that the visitor came from Outreach, tie the engagement to the contact, and map any optional fields you provide.

👻 Ghost Tip

Use this with your outbound tools to bring visibility to who's engaging with your content after the click — and let outbound ghosts haunt you no more!
