Step 2: Add Slack to a Segment

Once Slack is connected, you can add it to any segment as an action. This tells Vector where to send alerts for that segment.

When setting this up, you can:

Choose what works best for your team!

How @mentions work

Once Slack is connected, you can choose where alerts go and—on some plans—who gets notified directly.

How @mentions work (Plus & up)

If you’re on Reveal or Target, you can go a step further by tagging the account owner directly in Slack. Here’s how to set that up:

  1. Connect your CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce)

  2. Add an Account List to your segment

  3. Vector will automatically detect the owner and send the alert directly to them—or tag them in the channel

This makes sure your reps get the right alerts without needing to monitor every channel. 🎯
